Diapsych Limited

The Mental Side of Chronic Health

Diapsych provides psychological support, training, and integrated care solutions to improve the emotional wellbeing of people living with chronic illnesses especially diabetes

Who We Are

Diapsych was founded on a simple but critical understanding: diabetes and chronic condition management is not only medical it is deeply psychological.

People living with diabetes and chronic conditions manage complex treatment routines, lifestyle adjustments, and constant monitoring while also navigating emotions such as stress, fear of complications, burnout, and uncertainty. These psychological factors can significantly affect self-management, treatment adherence, and overall wellbeing.
Despite this, mental health support is often missing from routine care.

FAQS

For Individuals & Families

What is "Diabetes Distress," and how is it different from Depression?

Diabetes Distress is the emotional burden, stress, and worry specifically related to managing the 24/7 demands of diabetes. Unlike general depression, it is directly tied to the condition. We help you identify if you are experiencing clinical depression or if you are simply “burned out” by the relentless nature of the disease.

While we love collaborating with your medical team, a formal referral is usually not required to start therapy. However, with your permission, we can coordinate with your doctor to ensure your mental and physical care plans are aligned.

No. We support individuals living with Type 1, Type 2, LADA, Gestational Diabetes, and other chronic conditions where daily management impacts mental well-being. If your health affects your head, we’re here.

For Healthcare Professionals & Organizations

What does a "Curriculum Review" actually involve?

We audit your patient education materials to ensure they are psychologically informed. This means removing shame-based language (like “non-compliant” or “failing”), reducing cognitive load, and ensuring the content motivates the patient rather than overwhelming them.

Patients who feel psychologically supported have better clinical outcomes and higher retention rates. We help you streamline screenings and communication styles so your staff spends less time “convincing” patients and more time partnering with them.

Yes. We offer specialized training on the “Behavioral Side of Glucose Management,” teaching doctors and nurses how to address the emotional barriers that prevent patients from meeting their A1c goals.
